ABOUT OUR CLASSES
Castlemaine Media Schools courses are all practical, hands on, step by step guides enabling you by the end of the course to go away and create by yourself. Our teachers also act as mentors, guiding and encouraging you in being creative and developing confidence in your abilities. You will learn from start to finish how to make your very own website.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This beginners course will run over 8 weeks.
8 classes x 2 hours each

Class size - Limited to 6 people.
Assignments
Each week students will complete certain stages of their web design and website between class.
What you'll need
You will need access to a computer and the internet. Initially you will be able to sign up to the free version of WIX.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
WIX is very easy to use, so once you know the basics
you will be able to start to build and play.
Your website will be built in stages.
Designing the number of pages and type of content.
Reviewing the WIX website templates to find a good match for you.
Collecting photos and information for your site.
Finding your way around the creator platform and learning all the different components.
Creating pages.
Creating content.
Linking external sites and social media links.
Understanding the WIX dashboard and the tools at your disposal.
Taking your website live.
YOUR TEACHER
Natalie Clue - Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager
Natalie works full time as a Marketing Co-ordinator for a large local company, responsible for all marketing and website related work.
She has a Bachelor of Strategic Communication and studied Social Media for Business and Digital Marketing at Michigan State University USA. She has a range of marketing and public relations experience including web design, graphic design, photography and videography.
