Service Description
There are a number of steps to making a documentary film/video. This course is designed to demystify the process and take you step by step through the process, from beginning idea through to final edit. You will work on your own short documentary project during the course. You will learn the importance of having a clear vision for your film. As well as how to - Shoot video using different camera angles, with a moving or stationery camera. Record sound. Conduct an interview and how to light your subject. Edit your film and create smooth transitions. Add sound effects, sound tracks, voice overs. Add titles and captions within the video. You will need to have a smartphone or camera for recording video and sound. You will also need to have access to iMovie or a similar simple editing program as this is the editing program we will use during this course. If you live near Castlemaine, the school has a computer that can be used for editing.
